EVERYONE has joined the Flash Tattoo craze. Tomorrow we are going to feature a styled shoot created by Bastille Flowers & Events, coordinated by Coordinated To Perfection that includes a few pretty amazing wedding creatives and some stunning details. They styled shoot incorporated metallic Flash Tattoos affixed to candles and votives. In preparation for tomorrow’s post we have a little tutorial on how you can make your own DIY Mettalic Embellished Votive Candles.
We are all about the details and re-purposing items that you might already have. This is a simple and easy project that takes no more than 15 minutes and it will add a custom, personal touch to your wedding decor.
DIY Embellished Candles & Votives
Items Needed:
- Matches
- Scissors
- Metallic Tattoos
- Water
- Moist paper towel
- Glass votive candles
- Step 1: Cut out your tattoo and remove the plastic covering
- Step 2: Apply face down on surface of candle or votive
- Step 3: Hold in place and apply pressure with the moist (not soaking wet) paper towel. Inch by inch move the moist paper slowly along the tattoo moistening the entire surface
- Step 6: Slowly remove the paper backing from the tattoo. Be careful not to touch the tattoo yet. It must dry before you touch it or it may tear
