We are obsessed with Kate Spade (check our hashtage #mythirstforKateSpadeisreal), not only the products but the brand. Kate Spade is so easy to recognize so when we received this submission from Cheylaina Fultz, Founder and CEO of Creative Purposes, we had to share it!
From Cheylaina
As Christmas approaches, I thought it would be fun to combine some of my favorite things, fashion, sequins, black and white stripes, champagne, presents and lots of fun colors to create a Kate Spade Christmas Inspired Wedding.
Kate Spade is super modern and chic, so that meant the venue that I decided to go with had to reflect that. Therefore, it was only fitting that I asked Joe Payne Photography to snap away some fun pictures inside The Glass Box at 230.
The Glass Box is the latest venue located in the heart of Downtown Raleigh on the 5th floor of The Stockroom at 230. The Glass Box is pure modern luxury! The bright and chic suite is bathed in natural light from floor to ceiling windows, offering amazing views and a private outdoor balcony. The hardwood floors reflect the warmth of the space and the butler’s pantry provides the ability to celebrate in style without having to leave the suite.
Styling:
I wanted the bride to remain simple yet chic and festive, so I dressed her in a multicolored sequin top from H&M, a huge white tutu from LightIntheBox.com, and Cynthia Rowley sling backs with gold bows on top. I mean bows were a no brainer. Nothing screams Kate Spade more than bows and bright colors. The yellow chandelier earrings from Express gave her overall look a small and solid pop of color.
Sequins are very festive and perfect for celebrations; therefore the plum-colored tablecloth subtly screamed the holidays. I spray painted a gold vase and wrapped black and white striped ribbon around it, then filled it with fresh hydrangeas and garden roses in shades of white, pink, orange and yellow to complete the Kate Spade vision. I placed the 4-tiered gold polka dot and striped cake on top of a “Live Colorfully” translucent Kate Spade prop box straight from a Kate Spade store (let’s just say I have friends in high places), and surrounded the cake with colorfully wrapped gift boxes. After all, it’s a Christmas wedding, so presents are only right. J
DIY Glitter Champagne Bottles:
Weddings and the holidays are two perfect times of the year to pop a bottle of champagne. So I got a couple of old bottles and spray painted them gold, added glitter, and accompanied them with gold polka dot champagne glasses that I found at Home Goods.
