Whitney and George tied the knot at the St. Regis Deer Valley in Park City UT, Utah on June 8th, 2013.   The wedding was coordinated with beautiful hues of ivory and blush.

From the bride:

I got engaged in March and married in June and Meredith Parsons from Bluebird Event Destination Management pulled all of the details together.  A few elements that we loved were the candy bar, the cute cloth bags for out of town guests, our carrot flavored wedding cake .  In lieu of traditional wedding favors we opted to donate to the Park City Foundation.

Whitney was a traditional bride for something old she wore her Cartier bracelet, which she wears every day. Something new consisted of her dress and shoes.  Her undergarments served as something blue and her necklace and earring from her grandmother was her something borrowed.

The couple did the traditional first look.   “Great decision. It made the rest of the night flow so smoothly. Also, one of my favorite parts of the whole day was hanging out with all of our best girls and boys drinking beer after the photos before the ceremony. It was just the wedding party, it was chill and really fun.”

Moments you loved, hated, cried, laughed or giggled at

Loved it all. Hated my mother-in-law bossing me around and trying to demand I go around to every table. Laughed – our crazy friends drinking out of the flower vases; we did it at their black tie wedding in San Francisco and I love that they reciprocated! And our secret dance that we had been working on that NO ONE knew about! Giggled – at my MIL’s ugly pink shoes that she absolutely loved. Didn’t shed a tear, my cute, sweet groom did though!”

What you would have done differently, if anything

“Spent the money on a video. I would’ve watched it 400 times by now. And planned to have the DJ’s equipment moved to the bar for late night beforehand.”

Advice for future Coordinated Brides

“Don’t over think it. And focus on what is important to you. I think guest books are stupid, so I didn’t do one. And I didn’t tell anyone because I didn’t want their opinion or one of the moms showing up with some ugly thing from Staples.”
