Rain and outdoor weddings just don’t coordinate. West Virginia bride and groom, Ashley and Jon, decided to trust their vendors and embrace the rain. Jasmine White of Jasmine White Photography always checks the weather and makes preparations for her couples.
“On the morning of a wedding, you can usually find me checking the weather like a crazy person, especially if there is a high chance of rain. Ashley and Jon’s wedding day it was supposed to rain, but it was sunny for most of day, up until about 45 minutes before a huge thunderstorm rolled in. Ashley was so calm when I suggested that we work around the sun, the expected rain storm and the clouds rolling in for her after ceremony portraits. It’s always great when a bride just trusts me and then we make magic happen together.”
Valley View Farm has absolutely gorgeous views from every angle. The big red barn was used to house the reception. The unplugged wedding ceremony occurred outdoors as planned with the clouds rolling in overhead.
Beautiful things can happen on rainy days! Congratulations to Ashley and Jon.
