Pascale Souris and Jean Marc Dambra met as teenagers in 1998. Their initial attraction took 10 years to come to fruition after reconnecting over social media. From there, their loved blossomed. A year later, the two were married and moving to Australia. It wasn’t until after their daughter was born, did the couple decide to plan their religious wedding ceremony. It was definitely worth the wait. The couple married on August 10th, on the beautiful island of Mauritius, an island that holds a special place in the couple’s heart. Pascale shares why:
A few years ago we were on holidays and staying at a beautiful resort in Mauritius. Sitting by the pool, my partner randomly said that this would be a gorgeous place to get married.
Later, we went out for dinner and afterwards he suggested we walk on the beach to get back to our room. We got near the jetty and there stood 2 musicians waiting and as they saw us coming they started playing one of my favourite songs from The Turtles.
At the same time, he got down on one knee and asked if I would be willing to spend the rest of my life with him. I was surprised but delighted and said yes of course!
This coordinated wedding featured a blush, ivory, and gold color palette. The bride wore a custom Leah Da Gloria dress to accentuate their beach glam reception that featured lace and peonies that had to be flown in from Holland. Pascale and Jean Marc did the tango for their first dance, and they capped off their night with a surprise firework firework display!
