Velvety Moss provided the perfect setting for Kaylyn and Nick’s downtown Denver wedding. A venue created from the shell of an old warehouse, the industrial architecture provided the perfect environment for their wedding day.  Cracked windows, soft light, smoke bombs, and two beautiful newlyweds made this day quite special.  When planning her wedding, Kaylyn wanted to be non-traditional without any cliches.  She didn’t follow a color scheme.  Instead, she aimed for lots of neutrals and Earthy tones with pops of merlot for the fall.

Kaylyn on her wedding decor style: “I created two different table settings and alternated those settings between my reception tables, so that kept the reception space from looking TOO uniform. I included touches of gold flatware, mismatched candlesticks, geometric prisms, and mismatched goblets in the centerpieces and place settings and used labeled geodes and animal skulls for table numbers. For the ceremony, I purchased Edison lights to accent my aisle along with the greenery provided by my florist. My venue had a really picturesque moss wall as a backdrop to the ceremony site, and we created a focal point using some tall Edison light stands that were provided by Firefly Event Services.”  Kaylyn’s industrial bohemian dream, all came together perfectly through the lens of David Alderman Weddings.  Will your wedding style be non-traditional?
