Karla and Austin were introduced by a mutual friend who felt that both of them would be a perfect match for each other! After finding one another on Facebook, chatting online, and finally deciding to meet in person, they realized that their friend had indeed made a perfect match.
After hitting it off, Austin was ready to propose! One evening when Karla walked through the door, his brother was waiting with a scroll that read “Welcome to Memory Lane. Please follow the path of rose petals” There were rose petals leading to every room in the house. Each room contained a picture and a letter about something dear to her at one point in her life and finally when she reached the living room, there was a video playing of her life from when she was a baby all the way up to when she met Austin! In the middle of the living room was a heart made out of rose petals. By the fireplace was a small red mailbox. His brother played a tune on his phone that went “You’ve got mail”. Austin then walked over, opened the mailbox, took out a small box, came to the center of the heart and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! It was perfect.
From a walk down memory lane to now walking down the aisle, Karla and Austin tied the knot at the Iglesia Fuente de Luz y Salvacion in Jacksonville, Florida and celebrated the night away at the Ramona Pavilion Ballroom. The lovebirds envisioned a day filled with their love for Jesus and one another, along with their appreciation and admiration for their friends and family that came to support them. Truly the love could be felt everywhere, like when Karla’s dad came in for an impromptu Father Daughter look. He was taken aback by how stunning his daughter looked and had to hold back his tears.
Austin had recently had an ankle injury and “rolled” down the aisle (cart in tow) looking nothing but dapper with a “Mr” sign on his cart. Their ceremony included kind readings from family and a rope tying ceremony as a philosophical ode to the binding of two hearts and two minds. With a vows declared and a first kiss shared, the two walked down the aisle hand in hand, walking (and rolling), celebrating the beautiful commitment they had made.
Karla truly planned out every detail for her gold and blush theme throughout her reception and ceremony from the décor to gold Antonio Melani heels to the blush pink stationary! Gold linens and accents lined each table along with blush pink floral. Guests enjoyed a lovely catered meal by the Ramona Pavilion Ballroom along with dancing the night away to music by DJ Carlos Roman.
