Hillcrest Terrace was the venue and inspiration for this Southwest boho wedding shoot. The wisteria vines hanging over its rock walls and a white historic building with geometric cutouts made for the perfect setting. A mix of Southwestern and bohemian elements could be seen in every detail, including the bride and groom’s attire. The bride wore a beautiful lace dress, dream catcher headpiece, and carried a bouquet of wildflowers, roses, eucalyptus leaves, grasses, and succulents; while the groom sported a bolo tie with his blue suit and brown shoes.
The florals were repeated as a centerpiece at the reception table surrounded by potted succulents, which were set upon a sheer and gold geometric runner. The plates were flanked by cactus leaves used as a setting for the flatware, and a burgundy napkin cinched in the middle with a faux succulent completed the look. A custom wooden menu was created by hand, featuring the main dish of Southwestern chicken pasta. The dish was prepared and served, which added to the colorful display at the reception table. And who can forget the cake…a magical burgundy and gold design with handcrafted gum paste succulents.
I really love how the color palette of burgundy, teal, burnt orange, and gold was consistent throughout and really made this shoot come to life.
