Amanda and Dan’s Tea Garden ceremony at the Vinoy Resort & Golf Club was so magical, you could actually feel the love radiate off of this couple. Bridal party and floral colors were carefully chosen to not compete with the backdrop of this grand historic resort. Blues and whites complimented the big pink building and the surrounding greenery.
The couple kept the ceremony intimate but there was absolutely no shortage of love. The bride walked down the aisle to a string quartette and the first kiss was in front of a grand floral covered fountain. The cocktail hour was amidst velvet couches and tall pillar candles. Marble bars and gold shelving was the only hard element in the softly draped ballroom foyer. A memory table full of photographs of family and friends that were dearly missed at the celebration was a center point of the cocktail hour.
Through the draping you could see the Grand Ballroom, stunning with a beautiful coordination of classic colors and modern lines. JESSICA RALPH used a lot of juxtaposition in the elements creating the reception space; long rectangle tables mixed with rounds, high floral centerpieces with votives on a few tables and low full florals with tall cylindrical tapers and vase’d candles, crisp white lines but played with different materials to give the whiteness a pop. The focal point of the ballroom was the monogramed dance floor. Across the ballroom, atop a stage was the cake – such a statement piece, a sash of live orchids draped down the white buttercream masterpiece.
All elements were coordinated seamlessly. Congrats to the couple!
