The blending of two cultures is never easy but is beautiful when both families embrace each other with open arms. This describes Shital and Marc perfectly. Him, the French Canadian and her background being Indian – they found a way to incorporate both of their traditions, cultures and most of the things they love as a couple into their big day. From her outfits that were purchased in India to her bracelets and beautiful henna, this wedding stands out from the crowd with all the elements Shital decided to incorporate as an homage to her religion and background.
The wedding was held at Restaurant Ambroisie by the Lachine Canal in Montreal, which is a beautiful and romantic venue facing the waterside. The bride’s bouquet, mandap and head table decor popped with the colors of her heritage: hues of burgundy and pink. The guest table centerpieces highlighted lush greenery to keep the looked understated but organic.
From the DIY signs to the donut wall for dessert, the special touches that represented them as a couple were numerous. An Indian style buffet followed by takeout McDonalds nuggets and cheeseburgers left the guests full and ready to party the night away.
From her outfits that were purchased in India to her bracelets and beautiful henna, this wedding stands out from the crowd with all the elements Shital decided to incorporate as an homage to her religion and background. Congratulations to the couple and special thanks to their wedding planner, Chic by Nicole, for sharing their love with our readers.
