When Rayce PR and Marketing began to conceptualize this shoot, the inspiration came from the work of Japanese artist Kenji Shibata and his series of florals frozen in ice. They wanted to emulate that beautiful juxtaposition he captured, soft romantic detail set within the strict silhouette of a harsh material, by coordinating the striking mountain vistas and minimalist concrete architecture of Snowbird Ski Resort with a rich and textured palate. “Spring in ice” became the guiding theme of the designs, while a venue that is perched at the very top of the mountain helped to solidify that dramatic tone – one of only a select handful in the world.

It was in this sky-high space that the collaborators behind the shoot were able to bring the vision to life. From a hand-embroidered silk gown that RMINE’s made exclusively for the shoot, to the depth of Artisan Bloom’s floral, Atelier Azure’s stationery, and BBJ’s linens, we wanted the richness of color and texture to ground the palette and establish a sense of place in an otherwise vast snowy local. Between the bright white background that offered such an elevated canvas and the deep strong colors that balanced it out, the Snowbird shoot came together as a unique collaboration of which they are all proud to share.
