This winter wedding inspiration showcases not one, but two separate spaces at the incredible Ritz Charles in Carmel, Indiana!
As far as the styling for the couple, Veronica with Black Swan Beauty says “It was important that the hair and makeup complement the dress instead of compete with it. I opted for a fresh take on a classic high bun by keeping the sides soft and allowing for volume and a sweeping motion back with a braid cascading around the updo. For makeup, I wanted something that teetered on the line between glamorous and natural. I opted for colors in the bride’s skin tone without shimmer, and paired it with a thicker lash and defined cheek bones and lips.”
Our groom, Kevin, wore a classic black suite from DC TUX and a velvet emerald jacket from his own closet. Our bride, Victoria, wore an off the shoulder stunner from The Wedding Studio Carmel to complete her classic bridal look. Her train buttoned was a show stopper! Even our sweet dog model, Lady, dressed to impress with a eucalyptus lei by Satin & Stems.
The first location was the wonderful Garden Pavilion – a space filled with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows that surround the entire space. Elegant and cozy, chic and gorgeous, was the premise behind this Winter Emerald Green Styled Shoot envisioned by planner, Lisa Norris Events & photographer, Alison Mae Photography. By adding small, but distinct touches of the luxe velvety green tone, the creative team created a soft and elegant look. The awe inspiring green jewel tone was balanced out with the backdrop of bright and airy Garden Pavilion at the Ritz Charles and adorned with hints of gold displayed through staggered candlesticks, flatware, mirrored place cards and a gold cake hoop.
Blue Blossom Rentals brought their stunning Garden Arch, which combined a mix of fresh and faux florals for a stunning focal piece! This arch features silver dollar eucalyptus, seeded eucalyptus, real touch white roses (4 different varieties), hydrangeas, peonies, and peony buds. The Blue Blossom team also brought their new aisle flowers/ floor arrangements from their garden collection, and look as if they are growing right up from the ground! Creating a garden/meadow feel. These flowers are a beautiful combination of fresh florals, dried flowers, & artificial real touch flowers & greenery.
Inside the Chapel, tall ceilings and warm floors provided the perfect spot for our second location! Satin & Stems designed the chapel ceremony space to have a large floor installation we are calling The Ceremony Crescent. This was full of white Roses, Ranunculus, and Delphiniums for height. To make it look loose and organic, Satin & Stems used Chocolate Queen Anne’s Lace and tall grasses.
These textures were also present in the elevated arrangements on gold stands. These stands are a great way to add drama to a photo opportunity or by the head table. The bridal bouquet was softened with delicate white Helebores and kept in a lush hand gathered style bouquet to compliment the sophisticated look of the gown. The boutonnière featured a white Ranunculus. For the table centerpiece Satin & Stems used a compote centerpiece with the same white blooms to create contrast with the dark emerald table runner and kept it low so that the tall candle sticks were a feature for the table. The cake hoop was adorned with the same light and organic look of fresh florals.
Aymie with Moist Cake Co shared this about her inspiration for the cake “The styling of the Emerald Green wedding cake was designed to be lush and moody. I knew the cake was going to be displayed on a glamorous gold cake hoop, so I kept the cake design simple and clean. I played off the trending dark cake theme with a deep emerald buttercream. Adding monochromatic, wafer paper leaves and gold detailing. The fresh florals softened the overall composition and finished the look.”
A framed escort card board welcomed guests at the reception. Mini envelopes with enclosed table numbers are an elegant alternative to tented cards, and they also make last-minute table assignment changes a breeze.???
Each place setting featured a coordinating menu and place card. The a gold mirror place card also served as a favor for each guest. The menus were thermography printed on gold deckled edge papers for a classic look. The invitation suite was created using letterpress printing on cotton papers with luxury velvet-suede envelope liners.
