Hello December!!  This collaborative moody – winter styled shoot was a result of the talent and dedication of an extraordinary team of creatives!   They braved the winds and frigid 13 degree temperatures to create this shoot.  The goal was to design an elegant outdoor winter elopement and this was accomplished by using a moody color palette that included gold, burgundy, white and greens.

From Britani Edwards Photography:

When gathering details for this shoot, I knew I wanted it to be a bit moodier and darker than my traditional light and airy shooting style. We went with dark tones and a moody feel for the entire shoot. A snowy golf course surrounded by tall snow-covered pines and frozen lakes created the perfect backdrop for this shoot.

A beautiful, burgundy sequin gown created a princess feel you often see in “enchanted” or “fairytale” inspired weddings and it certainly gave that impression for this shoot. We balanced the bride’s look with soft curls and a snow-covered pine and pepper berries floral crown. Makeup was dark tones to reflect that of the forest and accented with a gorgeous red bold lip. She holds the most beautiful bouquet filled with hydrangea, forever young roses, white spray roses, tulips, poppy pods, Carolina sapphire, cedar, ilex berries, pepper berries and pine cones. A fur shawl is the ultimate winter wedding accessory, and we love how it’s styled among the elegant woodsy details. She completed the look with elegant handmade jewelry from local designer, ‘Adorn by June’.

Slightly off the beaten path, we have the most romantic tablescape setup. Starting with a farmhouse table and cross back wooden chairs. The center of the table included lush greenery, while tapered candles in copper candle holders created ambiance. Gold flatware adds something extra to the table, elegant chargers with gold tones. Crystal glassware filled with champagne and berries adds to the romance and color at the table. Gold foil menu’s and name cards add elegant detail to the table. The cake was truly the epitome of a winter wedding cake. A beautiful naked cake with delicate white buttercream surrounded with berries, pine cones and greens.

Such a beautiful shoot!
