The black, gold and ivory Missouri wedding of Taylor and Ethan was sophisticated, classy and genuine. Events by Elle did such a wonderful job with the planning and design of the wedding. Sharaya Mauck Photography captured not only the love between Taylor and Ethan but all of the gorgeous details of the wedding.
As told by The Coordinated Bride Taylor
“Our wedding day was a day filled with tremendous excitement, but also slight anticipation. I truly never could have envisioned a more perfect man waiting for me at the end of the aisle. But, my heart also yearned for the man that loved me first and could not be there in person, my father. Throughout the planning process, I wrestled with how to appropriately honor my father without letting feelings of sadness overwhelm what was unquestionably one of the happiest days of my life. Once our wedding day arrived, however, all of my concerns disappeared. I was no longer worried about the little details and I felt such overwhelming peace going into our wedding day. The excitement and honor of becoming Mrs. Ethan Hausmann at the end of the day was all that mattered. When my brother walked me down the aisle, I was truly overcome with feelings of gratitude. Gratitude for the man waiting for me at the end of the aisle, who loves me better than I could have ever imagined, builds me up and supports me, and regularly puts my concerns ahead of his own. He truly makes my dreams realities and he makes me want to be a better person. Gratitude for our families—for my mother, who is stronger than any woman should ever have to be and who loves us and supports us endlessly; for my brother who is one of my best friends, a voice of reason, and always there for comedic relief; and for the Hausmann family who has loved me and embraced me from day one as if I was one of their own.
As I looked around the church, my feelings only intensified as I looked at our (gorgeous) wedding party and guests who patiently endured this six-year journey with us, creating countless memories, celebrating our successes, mourning our losses, and providing invaluable advice along the way. One of our greatest blessings has been the remarkable people that God has placed in our lives. Simply stated, our wedding day was everything we imagined. We celebrated family, who traveled from near and far, and remembered those that could not be there in person. We celebrated friends and the memories we have made with them. And, we celebrated each other and the start of something exceptional. The stories, the laughter, the tears, the memories, and connecting family and friends from all over the world and various phases of our lives are some of our most treasured memories from this weekend. We will never forget how loved we felt throughout this entire process.”
I felt the need to highlight the wedding party photos. Taylor and Ethan had a large number of groomsmen and bridesmaids. Photographer Sharaya Mauck Photography did a wonderful job styling and posing the party to include everyone without appearing crowded.
