Greece is rich in both history and romance and it lent itself perfectly to be the backdrop of this stunning styled wedding.  Far from the crowds, tucked intimately amid indigenous olive groves, whose silvery leaves winked in the soft afternoon light, the collaborators behind this shoot found an idyllic atmosphere.

Located on a heavenly Mediterranean Estate full of rustic charm, participants of the one day seminar coordinated by Anna Roussos & Anna Sourbati were greeted by an arrangement of gorgeous stone buildings with terra cotta roofs, luscious wood beamed ceilings and flagstone pathways.   All pieces working in perfect symbiosis with every element on the property. Nothing felt out of place. Starting with an amazing canvas (the estate of Pyrgos Petreza) the scene was completed with elegant pops of color, gorgeous tablescapes and impeccable attention to detail.   Using the neutral palette of the estate and nature to ground the look the collaborators were able to go in with bursts of color adding romance, drama and a touch of whimsy to the event.

Although the shoot was mostly situated outdoors in no way was elegance sacrificed. If anything, the elegant nature of the design and the couple were enhanced against the contrasting provincial setting. Sumptuous flower arrangements decorated the dining table. Roses, hydrangeas, lavender and eucalyptus leaves overflowed from carefully arranged vases. Beautifully colored plates anchored the color scheme. A large table was situated in the grove and provided an alternate gathering place for guests. Decadent floor cushions, complete with luscious texture and patterns invoking exotic qualities of middle eastern design, provided comfortable seating.

The lighting that day was every bit as dreamy as the design. Soft milky light danced off our subjects adding to the old world romance created by the stylists. The images have a quiet quality adding to the poetic nature of the event.   The photographer, HannaMonika Wedding Photography  wanted to harmonize with the natural color scheme and achieved this by using a minimalist palette in their shots, focusing heavily on the stone buildings and wooden accents provided by the estate’s structures. The use of color is punctuated with a few significant pops seen in the gorgeous textured floor cushions, flowers and table settings.
