This styled wedding shoot is a dedication to the love and appreciation of art.
It’s amazing how a painting or sculpture could evoke a response, a feeling, and if you’re not alone, a conversation. I wanted to create a vision that could evoke a feeling by embracing color, lines, shapes, and textures. Incorporating the metal of copper with ivory and various versions of blue was stunning as each color was able to be showcased in its own way – Blue through the linens, copper through the small details throughout the table design and signage, and white through the florals and bridal design.
Overall, it was important to maintain a level of simplicity to this design, as this was an elopement shoot, and with most elopements, less is more. I decided not to use drapery or any specific type of background because I wanted to embrace the geometrical shapes and lines of the iconic American Institute of Architects building and features within. During an elopement, some details matter, but love is at the root of the event.
