Shania and Arvind met the old traditional way, through family. Their families have known each other for 20 years.  On a chance occasion at her parent’s business, Arvind caught a glimpse of Shania an told his sister that he liked her.  His sister told their mom and their mom then told Shania’s mom.  The pair became friends first and then best friends and now they’re engaged and planning an outdoor wedding.

The couple enjoys hiking, working out, playing with their dogs and travelling spontaneously. On of those spontaneous trips turned out to be a proposal.   Arvind surprised Shania while on a trip to India.   He got the ring ready in 2 weeks before the trip and organized it all with his family. The plan was to proposes at the Golden Temple.  Arvind’s parents kept telling Shania that she had to dress up and have her makeup done to go to the temple, but she refused. Then his sister said she was dressing up so they could take nice pictures.  At that point Shania decided to dress up as well.  In the middle of prayer Shania turned around and Arvind was there on one knee.     The ring is a classic round brilliant just over 3 carats with a band that has diamonds all around.
