Inqu and Fabian tied the knot during the first week of May at the gorgeous St Regis Bal Harbour Resort on Miami Beach. They first met in NYC when Fabian moved from Switzerland. Although after their first date she thought he was a playboy, Inqu shortly realized that wasn’t the case. Fabian says that he knew Inqu was the one on that very first date.
The bride and groom live in Denver, CO so they contacted Melissa Davis to plan an indoor wedding to beat the heat and rain from that day. Their wedding colors switched from ceremony to reception. The color palette was blue, dark purple and light purple during the day and during the cocktail hour. For the reception it was dark blue, dark purple and bright red.
Such a beautiful orchid filled bouquet. And let’s not ignore the bling in these Christian Louboutin shoes!! Stunning!
Inqu’s hair and makeup and her custom-made Galia Lahav wedding dress and Christian Louboutin shoes were impeccable. She also had a very unique cape to finish off her stylish look. This girl has the most striking features. The groom was not far behind in his sharp blue Giorgio Armani suit and bow tie. Note to future brides – custom robes for your bridesmaids are a must and a champagne toast never hurt anyone!
My dress was a handmade Ghalia Lahav couture gown. I decided to do a cape instead of a veil and that was also by Ghalia Lahav. My hair jewel was Swarovski. My shoes were Swarovski crusted Christian Louboutin. The whole look was to die for. The ladies at The Little White Dress bridal shop in Denver helped me put the look together. It was a lot of intricate jewels and beading that had an elegant look in the end. Fabian’s suit was a Giorgio Armani blue tuxedo and dress shirt. The bow tie was also by Giorgio Armani. His black leather dress shoes were by Salvatore Ferragamo. He didn’t want to do a classic black tux. Given it was Miami, we set the dress code to “formal, colorful and glamorous” so he nailed it with this one. – The Coordinated Bride Inqu
Their simple and classy ceremony took place overlooking the stormy ocean, under a white altar adorned with the most colorful array of purple and blue flower combinations.
During the ceremony I surprised my Fiancé by doing my vows in Swiss German from memory (I had lots of help from a colleague at work). He was shocked and so were his family and friends (in a good way!) – The Coordinated Bride Inqu
The wedding reception took place in the Astor Ballroom which has intricate ceilings, mirrors and wood panels. This combined with their colorful florals with candles, gold details, and crystals made for a stunning party room.
Hello 4-tiered gold and white wedding cake!!
The florals were something that we were told a lot by family/friends could be the part we cut back on budget wise to save. In retrospect I am glad we didn’t because we ended up depending mostly on the florals to give it the super colorful effect we were going for. We had orchids, roses, callas, hydrangeas and a few others I think. – The Coordinated Bride Inqu
Inqu’s advice for future Coordinated Brides? “Try to get into your zen mode the week of your wedding. It can be hard to switch gears if you find it hard to de-stress close to the actual day. Luckily our groom/bridal party and wedding planner made relaxing easy for us!”
