Just three years ago, Maggie was one of my maids of honors at our wedding. This past July, I had the honor to be one of Maggie’s bridesmaids. Yaneck got to document Maggie’s and Jerry’s wedding. Maggie has a very special place in my heart, she is my best friend and we go all the way back to high school times.
So, way back when, when I got to meet Jerry for the first time, he was one of Maggie’s “good friends.” I put “good friends” in quotation because even though Maggie didn’t know it at the time, the way Jerry would gaze over at her was to die for. It was obvious Jerry had feelings for Maggie. Before Maggie and Jerry ever started to even consider dating, they grew to be the best of friends (and amazing dance partners).
Fast forward to a good few years of Maggie and Jerry being “good friends,” Maggie decided to make the move to California. Shortly after then, I think they both realized there was something magical between them. I was so happy the evening I got a phone call from Maggie that her and Jerry started to date. Maggie moved back to Chicago to be with Jerry and take their relationship to the next level. It seemed that the moment Maggie and Jerry started to be together, things fell into place in their lives.
First came love, then came the perfect downtown home followed by an incredible proposal. It happened on a golden fall Sunday. Maggie walked into their new home to be greeted by a path of rose petals and the sound of live Spanish guitar playing. As she followed the rose petals and the sound of the Spanish guitar, she found Jerry on one knee proposing to her. Jerry did an amazing job planning and surprising Maggie.
The following months after getting engaged, Maggie and Jerry planned one of the most perfect weddings I’ve ever seen. Maggie is a true planner and her visions are amazing. From start to finish, everything was laid out and organized to perfection.

Maggie and Jerry had a grand first look at the Palmer House Hotel. After the first look, Maggie and Jerry were blessed by both parents and then we were off to church to witness Maggie and Jerry become husband and wife.
Watching Maggie walk down the aisle in her epic gown was an incredible experience. Being a witness at the ceremony, seeing how they look at one another and walking down the aisle as husband and wife for the first time was unforgettable. After the ceremony, we went in the city for some portrait photos. Despite the hot temperatures, Maggie and Jerry didn’t mind. They were too busy enjoying being husband and wife.
Arriving at the reception, everyone’s jaws dropped. When first walking into the lobby, there was a grand table with gorgeous fresh flowers, candle lights and custom place cards for the guests. The first impression was incredible. Walking into the reception room was like walking into wedding heaven. I’ve never seen so much gorgeous décor, it was over the top but in the most perfect way.
There were flowers suspended from the dance floor ceiling, a stunning backdrop of flowers and greenery at the head table and every single table had the most beautiful and fresh flower arrangements. Also, the wedding party tables were mirrored tables. In the six years of going to weddings, I’ve never seen anything like it before.
