Whoever says that social media is not the place to ignite the spark to an unending love apparently hasn’t gone about it the right way. It was a simple Facebook Messenger message that led Ollie and Eli to meet up for the first time at First Cathedral in Bloomfield, CT where they both worship. They locked eyes with each other at the 2012 New Year’s Eve service and have been inseparable since then.
Ollie’s fun loving soul and Eli’s sense of humor and God fearing soul are the few things that describe their connection; let’s not dare forget the love for frozen yogurt that they share!
Ollie believed she was attending and supporting Eli’s FLYGHT organization’s event where he was giving a speech for “being honored” for the work he continues to do professionally and in the community. When family and friends started one by one to make their way in, Ollie couldn’t help but wonder why some of her out of town family were present. It finally clicked when Eli’s speech turned into a story of his love for her and how fortunate and blessed he was to have such an amazing queen in his king life. That’s when he got down on one knee and asked Ollie to share the rest of their lives together.
The Engagement Session via TimeFrozen Photography
The inspiration for Ollie and Eli’s engagement session was “Love is in the Air”, soaring to new heights in life/love. They wanted to incorporate airplanes to reflect their lives taking off in the right direction. So we ventured out to Meriden Markham Municipal Airport to bring their inspiration to life. They are God fearing souls who also enjoy a good game of hockey which they incorporated into their session as well. We at TimeFrozen Photography were fortunate to play a role in helping their love “take flight” and we hope you enjoy the images from their session!
