Wedding Planner, Deanne Fenton spends a great deal of her time behind the scenes making sure her couples look great. This time around, she’s in front of the lens taking pictures with her fiancé, Tyler. Her friend and photographer, Ryann Lindsey, suggested the couple use Mount Lemmon as their backdrop for their E-Session. The location was perfect. Not only because of it’s amazing views, but because the mountain holds a special place in the couple’s heart. Deanna shares why:
Mount Lemmon was and will always be an escape for us. We met when I was 19 and he was 21. He was living in Phoenix, and I was living in Tucson (two hours away). While two hours doesn’t seem like much, it definitely made things more difficult for us. When we saw each other, we needed to make every second count. He would visit me in Tucson every other weekend, and I always felt like I needed to have a plan for our time together. Mount Lemmon was that plan for several weekends.
The mountain offered a refreshing new scenery that inspired and captivated us. We found a trail and began exploring the woods. As we walked, we stopped beside a creek, where Tyler carved our first initials into a tree. It read “T + D” and we visit it each time we make the trip up the mountain. With memories of hiking, campfires, playing in the snow, and times of reflection, we knew there could be no better place than Mount Lemmon for our engagement pictures. We will be married March of 2018 in Phoenix, AZ
