Emelie and Peter met on Tinder.  Peter was living on St. Barts and Emelie was visiting from Sweden on the neighboring island of St. Martin.  Peter swiped right, bought her a boat ticket over and the two hit it off amazingly.  A year later, the couple were living together on the island when Hurricane Irma came barreling down. They safely rode out the storm but unfortunately they were forced to move away from their paradise getaway. They landed in South Florida.

After Peter and Emelie got engaged, Emelie was looking for a photographer to capture this exciting time. After months of not finding anyone Barett of CivicPhotos reached out to her. Emelie loved how he captured love in such a natural way and selected him to capture their moment.  For the session, Barett found a beautiful location to shoot. “Capturing us at the sunrise on the beaches in Miami Beach with a tropical vibe, takes me back to where we first met on St. Barts in the Caribbean. I love the photographs of Peter and I by the rooftop pool, with the high-rises and big city life in the background that our new life in South Florida offers,”  Emelie says of the her engagement session.  We love them too!
