Margaret Rivers and Corey Ervin are getting married on September 16, 2017 in Hiram, GA. They are just a little over a year from their cranberry, blush and ivory Southern Vintage with a mix of City Glam wedding.
How did you and your fiancé meet?
My fiancé and I met at our Alma Mater Tuskegee University. We had an Economics class together. Corey asked me on a date and the rest is history.
How did he propose?
We were dating for 2 ½ years before he proposed. It was a chilly December night. We were going to an outdoor concert ( that didn’t exist) Corey bought me a lovely dress to wear to the concert and when I didn’t hear any music outside I knew something was up. I walked through a dim lighted tunnel and was presented with a bouquet of roses that I had no idea were mine. When I looked there were cameras flashing (incognito high school friends) and my love was on one knee. The best day of my life.
What are some of the joys and pitfalls of wedding planning?
One thing I am ecstatic about is going on my honeymoon. My fiancé and I can agree on this when it comes to wedding planning…. We need this getaway!!! However, my emotions have been at an all-time high. I will watch The Notebook and cry, watch Finding Nemo and cry, watch Empire and cry. The wedding planning process has made me happy, sad, mad all at the same time.
Advice for fellow Coordinated Brides:
Breathe In, Breathe Out. Wedding Planning will go by so fast. Enjoy this time to get creative, relax and love your fiancé because after you get married that’s when the real work will start.
Happy Planning Loves.
