This Army couple has a self described Nicolas Sparks-esque romance. Samantha states, “We have a love story right out of ‘The Notebook.'”
Samantha actually knew Chris’s brother long before she met him. Meeting in high school, the two began to date. They were separated when Chris went off to basic training. He wrote to her every day. But just like in “The Notebook,” Samantha didn’t receive all of Chris’s letters to her although she did receive some. Samantha’s mother was hiding as many of the letters as she could because her family didn’t approve of Chris’s multiracial background. Finally the couple split because Samantha could no longer handle the pressure from her family.
Shortly after graduating from high school, however, Samantha moved from her parent’s home and rekindled her relationship with Chris. The love and joy shared between this couple is palpable. They are so much fun to work with and to photograph. They couple tied the knot in an indoor barn ceremony at Antique Acres on June 13, 2015. Congratulations to Samantha and Chris. We wish them all the best in love and life.
