Whether you are planning a holiday fete or a southern Christmas wedding, this cranberry, plum, navy and gold shoot is the perfect inspiration.
Southern Sophistication Designs wanted to bring the glamour and luxury of the holidays and mix it with the grace and elegance of a southern soiree. A palette of cranberry, plum, navy and gold were chosen so as to use rich colors but not those of a traditional holiday theme. The invitation suite, menus and place cards were designed by Sweet E’s Celebrations and are hand calligraphy. For the bride, a stunning Jovani gown was provided by High Maintenance Formalwear. This gown featured gold sequins and then sheer panels for that daring lady that wants to be classic yet sexy. For the bridesmaid, a fashion forward two piece ball gown was chosen in navy. The bodice of the gown was covered in gold sequins. Each lady wore relaxed and wavy finger curls in their hair and glam, dramatic makeup indicative of the 1920s era.
Our gentleman were decked out in tuxedos provided by Perno’s Formalwear. The groom sported a navy tuxedo that is becoming all the rage in fashion circles, while our groomsman wore a nice, light grey. Both wore plum pocket squares with navy and grey bow ties. The floral was an arrangement of winter flowers in the same palette and included beautiful peonies, berries, and gold twigs.
Our tablescape featured a low arrangement in a gold vase. Each place card was held by a beautiful gold pear holder. The linens were cranberry with a gold overlay. And of course, you cannot forget vintage China! It is jewelry for your table! This beautiful mismatched luxury china was in a palette of gold, cranberry, plum and navy and was provided by Vintage English Teacup. To top it off, hand calligraphied menus to match the invitations were wrapped in beautiful plum satin napkins and clipped with jewels.
And to end the evening, we had a cranberry cake provided by The Posh Cakery. It featured gold lace detail and a gold bow with a crystal dripping from the center. The topper spelled love in gold and was provided by Kate Aspen.
