Journal Entry #4
Final Reflections
Hi Ladies!
I am FINALLY in the home stretch, and let me tell you how exciting it is to officially say that my wedding is here! It’s definitely surreal, and the feeling I have in my stomach knowing that I am about to marry my best friend and see all of my hard work come together is indescribable.
My last minute to-do list was pretty hectic the 2-3 weeks before, and the list consisted of finalizing the seating chart, finalizing music selection, scheduling last minute appointments and calls with our vendors, and finalizing payments and tipping. Word of advice .. start as early as possible! I know some things just have to be saved for last minute (such as the seating chart as your final RSVPs continue to roll in), but anywhere that you think you may be able to get ahead of the game, go for it. Start an Excel sheet with final vendor payments and contact information ahead of time, be familiar with a “top 20 song list” that you want to hand over to your DJ – if you are a few months out, try and think of all of the little details! Oh, and don’t forget to apply for and pick up your marriage license the 2-3 weeks before as well!
Now that I’m finally in the home stretch and have the important things mainly wrapped up, this week consisted of packing up my bridal party gifts for my girls, our guys and close family, making our hotel welcome bags for guests staying the night, getting ready for our rehearsal dinner and packing for our Hawaii honeymoon! Also, don’t forget to schedule last minute facials and a couples massage! These are the little things that are super fun, and I can’t wait to share my full wedding coordination with you all. Stay tuned for my dress designer, bridesmaid dress designer, beautiful seating chart, fun Snapchat filters, and plenty of other little details!
