“12 Bridesmaids … WOW”
Yes, you read the title right. Twelve (12) Bridesmaids! For my special day, there was no question in mind about the ladies I wanted to be a part of my bridal party. Each one of these ladies have played a special part of my life in many ways! I couldn’t choose one, two, or even three, lol! I’m blessed to have each one of them to join Anthony and I as we embark on a new chapter in our lives.
SUMMER AND SUNDRESSES POP PARTY
Summer is my favorite season! I’m a summer baby (Hey Cancers), a maxi-dress lover, and a beach-goer! It was only right I have the proposal in this season and ask everyone to wear a sundress! On August 26, 2017, I decided to surprise my soon to be bridesmaids with a POP Party. The tradition for bridesmaid’s proposal is to keep the idea going of the engagement “POPPING the Question.” Everything at the party was associated with the word “POP.” Popcorn, Pop Rocks, LolliPOP Martinis, POPcorn Chicken, and more! Along with the decorations, I provided bridesmaid proposal gifts including personalized shot glasses, personalized cookies from Robbie’s My Special Place in Baltimore, MD. and a bridesmaid handbook guide with the do’s and don’ts of my special day!
POPPING THE QUESTION
Upon their arrival, I had many balloons floating with a picture of each bridesmaid and I sharing a special moment. The ladies were asked to find their balloon and take hold of a safety pin. We played music and “On Your Mark, Get Ready Set Go!” each lady popped their balloon. A small message flew everywhere for each lady asking “Will You Be My Bridesmaid.” Gladly, each lady accepted and the rest is history! The “Bride-Squad” was complete for our wedding journey.
Bridesmaids and Maid of Honor Colors
Each lady will wear a Marsala (a wine color) dress with adornments of gold accessories. Can’t wait to share the bridal shower details as they did an amazing job with the planning and making the day more memorable than I could ever imagine! Stay tuned!
