Ruth and Daniele Rizzo got married in 2014. They recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary with a photo shoot captured by Marisa Peterson of Peterson Design & Photography at the Santiago Oaks Regional Park .
The culmination of the second year of marriage is called the Cotton Anniversary.
From Marisa Peterson:
This session is inspired by the couple’s second year of marriage, the Cotton Anniversary. Ruth and Daniele wanted to put together an anniversary session every year to celebrate each unique year of marriage. They are firm believers (and I agree!) that your wedding shouldn’t be the only time you get dressed up and document your love, that it is important to continue to take pictures throughout your years together to see how you grow and change as a couple and as individuals.
For this session they wanted to set up an elegant tea party theme with vintage and cotton elements. Raw cotton was used in the decor and floral arrangements (which we designed and created with Ruth and Daniele), clothing and decor was made out of cotton, and Ruth had an amazing embroidery custom made by Thistle and Thread Design of Etsy. We did their session at the lush and beautiful Santiago Oaks Regional Park where the light and scenery was perfect, adding to the fun and romantic theme.
How will you celebrate your next anniversary?
