Tynesha and Calvin met at Shaw University nearly 12 years ago.  The couple became each other’s best friend but their union grew stronger when they were blessed with a beautiful daughter.

Calvin’s proposal was an over the top surprise that Tynesha always wanted.  The couple and some friends went to Charlotte for the Hornets vs. Heat game.  As a part of their fun trip, Calvin planned a tour during halftime where the could  go down and high five the players as they went out for the second half. Tynesha walked around a corner only to be greeted by the Charlotte Hornet Cheerleaders holding up a “Tynesha, will you marry me?” sign!  She credits December 23rd as one of the best days of her life.

Since Charlotte was the city that Calvin proposed in, the couple decided to return to the city to make it official. “We wanted a venue that matched our modern sophisticated style, which is why we got married at the Le Meridien Hotel overlooking the city’s breathtaking skyline,” says Tynesha. The reception in the ballroom offered a sleek modern design with beautiful decor designed by Carolina Luxury Event Rentals (CLUX).  CLUX wove together the couple’s bold color palette of burgundy, fuchsia, and pink flawlessly.

A major highlight of the couple’s wedding was their music playlist and DJ, Cease Fire Productions.  So much so, their wedding playlist is in constant demand! The guests were noticeably entertained as captured by In His Image Photography.  Scroll on to see the images of this bold and fun modern wedding!
