For brides-to-be, getting your photo taken while posing in lingerie may seem intimidating, but with the right photographer and styling, it can be a very fun and intimate experience! A boudoir shoot is a great way to celebrate yourself and create some amazing art that reflects you and your devotion for your future husband.  Micahla of Photography by Micahla Wilson coordinated with a few amazing collaborations to celebrate simple, tasteful beauty with today’s featured boudoir shoot.

Although boudoir shoots are generally categorized as “sexy” or “racy”, the collaborators behind the shoot wanted to create something more classic, soft, and vulnerable with this boudoir inspiration shoot. They used natural make-up, monochromatic florals, and luxurious textiles all drenched in early morning light to produce a stunning and tasteful scene. The playfully mysterious and refined atmosphere that was created with every intricate detail – from the muted tones to the dreamy custom veil by Kendall Morehart was beyond perfect. In the end, they wanted to create a chic and timeless shoot that shows the true meaning of “blushing bride”.

Photographer Micahla Vaughn added: Boudoir shoots are a special experience for me as a photographer because they are not about the words “perfect”, “flawless”, or “Photoshop”. They are all about a bride being unapologetically herself for her husband. They are the anticipation of the very start of the celebration of getting married! We wanted this shoot to show how classy and fun a boudoir session can be. Our model Aly, who is a real bride-to-be, can gift these to her husband, Tristan on their wedding day. How special is that?

We recommend brides taking part in boudoir shoots to celebrate the beautiful bodies that they have been blessed with…. and your lifelong love will forever be able to remember the “honeymoon” stage you two shared.
