Terrin and Hal had an absolutely breathtaking country wedding on the top of lush green mountains in Australia.  They tied the knot on October 10, 2018 in a beautiful Autumn wedding surrounded by 114 guests.  The wedding day had a classic and elegant theme, with a navy blue, green and classic white color palette.  T

How They Met

They were both working in London for Virgin Active gym. One day Terrin spotted her co-worker talking to a good-looking guy she had recognized from their work’s internal training videos, so she walked over. Her co-worker introduced them and they hit it off straight away. Hal then started training at her gym almost every day, which proved very distracting for Terrin. She even got in trouble (on more than one occasion) from her manager for talking with Hal for too long!

The Proposal

Terrin goes for walks in her local neighborhood most mornings and she always asks Hal to accompany her, but he usually declines as he isn’t the biggest fan of cardio. One night, Hal asked if he could go for a walk with her tomorrow.  The next morning, they ended up walking a different route, going past Brighton beach. Hal asked if they could sit down at a nearby beach, and he then gave an early anniversary present, which was a booklet that had ‘6 memories for 6 years’.   He had commissioned a graphic designer to depict 6 of the most memorable moments in their relationship. On the final page, it showed a silhouette of Hal down on one knee on the beach. As Terrin looked up, Hal pulled out a ring box, dropped on one knee and told her he wanted to be with her forever!  The rest is history!

The Wedding

Terrin wanted a dress that was elegant & classic.   It was also important that she felt comfortable & the dress wouldn’t inhibit me from moving freely.  When it came time to choose her dress Terrin selected just one bridesmaid (who always provides an honest yet tactful appraisal) to come on the hunt with her, and they dedicated a full day to the endeavor.  By the end of the day, Terrin knew that what she was looking for was something more personal & tailored.  She ended with a custom dress from Shehzarin Batha.

Terrin and Hal always loved the idea of a country wedding, and as such tailored their choices to coordinated the venue & their color palette of navy blue, green & white.

Advice for fellow Coordinated Brides

“Have a plan upfront: once you know your approach & mission statement, the research and execution is really fun!” – Terrin
