Ashley and Luke sent out an invitation to all their guests asking them to join them in celebrating their engagement at a private party at their home. Little did they know and were in for a big surprise when they arrived that it was their wedding.

Ashley shares all of the details below!

We invited our guests to our engagement party but surprised them with our wedding!  Guests arrived and were welcomed to passed champagne and sushi.  After watching a video of how we met, the curtains opened and we were standing under the Chuppah ready to get married!  I wore an ombre pink dress by Kelly Faetinini which inspired the ombre pink décor.  Our flowers were a coordination of an ombre of pinks throughout.  We used peonies and roses as well.  In the pool we used 3 floats adorned with over 100 sahara roses each.  The groom wore custom Hugo Boss with personalized cufflinks, a gift from the bride.
The black and white checkered dance floor was located in the center of the backyard.  The hanging lanterns above the dance-floor were shades of pink.  We wrapped the bistro lights with smilax greenery.
For food we had a Mexican food truck serving Sonoran Dogs and street tacos as well as a sushi bar with 2 sushi chefs preparing nigiri and rolls.  For dessert we had Baked Bear serving ice cream sandwiches from their cart as well as a dessert table.

The “Surprise!” was the most anticipated part of the day.  We stood behind the curtains while our guests watched the video.  The anticipation of the curtain opening was the most special moment.

A surprise wedding is such a wonderful idea. Congratulations Ashley & Luke!
