Dean and Brittany were vacationing on the little island of Jost Van Dyke, BVI when he proposed. They were on a little strip of sand with a few of their favorite bars. Brittany went into the water to cool off after a long walk and as she was swimming Dean called her out onto the beach where he was standing. Dean then grabbed her hand and got down on one knee as he rehearsed a line from their favorite Kenny Chesney song and she happily said YES!
We were able to get a few details about the wedding and the planning process from The Coordinated Bride Brittany!
How did you approach the wedding process?
“Being the type A personality that I am, not to mention having 8 years to imagine my dream wedding, I was ready to face the wedding planning head on! I stayed very organized, took advantage of every wedding book I had and used Pinterest A LOT.”
What was the easiest/hardest part of the planning process?
“The easiest part of wedding planning had to be dealing with my husband to be. He was just so helpful and stress free through every Pinterest project or vendor decision. He was my right hand. The hardest part of wedding planning was budgeting our expenses, its very easy to spend!”
What were you most looking forward to at the wedding?
“I was most looking forward to seeing Dean’s face as he watched me walk down the aisle. We kept it traditional with no first look and I don’t regret that at all.”
What was your favorite part of the wedding day?
“My favorite part of my wedding day was our beach wedding ceremony. It was everything I imagined and more. We actually tied a knot after our vows with the help of our bridal party. Now I get to look at the knot everyday and remember the special moments.”
What is something that went wrong or different than you expected?
“NOTHING, everything was absolutely perfect and went off without a hitch!”
Do you have any planning advice for future brides?
“Enjoy every single second, don’t stress the small stuff because it really is the fastest day of your life! Post wedding depression is REAL.”
Great advice and such relatable issues for every bride. Brittany and Dean’s wedding came together so beautifully in the end, filled with one of a kind details that reflect the bride and groom. They even had a Tipsy Cones Ice Cream truck come and serve the guests!!! Check out the beautiful images captured by Molly Joseph Photography below!
Because who doesn’t love sparkling wine that comes in a glitter covered bottle?
How cute is this photo?! The color of the bride’s robe coordinated with the color of the bridesmaids’ robes so beautifully
It’s a must that you include your furry friend in the wedding day festivities!
Brittany and Dean carried the nautical theme throughout the wedding decor.
And the groomsmen wore bow ties and boat shoes!
The soft pastel color of the bridesmaid dresses coordinated beautifully for a beach wedding.
